What began in 1949 as one man's vision is today a story full of innovation and consistency. Wilhelm Hefft developed the first care solution for scleral lenses back then – a milestone for the contact lens industry.
Today, Alfred B. Hefft leads the company in its fourth generation. With 24 dedicated employees, we produce several million sterile liquid products annually – exclusively in Germany according to the highest standards.

With the breakthrough of soft contact lenses, Alfred W. Hefft (2nd Gen) developed new care solutions. The complexity of hygiene requirements demanded the highest precision, which became the DNA of OPTOSOL.
The move to Miesbach marked the beginning of the professional production facility. Modern filling plants were built here, which continue to set the standard today.
Optosol Chemische Produkte GmbH was founded and expanded its range of services to include private label and contract manufacturing for pharmaceutical and medical technology companies.
Alfred B. Hefft leads the company into the future together with his father. The values remain: quality, reliability, and personal support.
By expanding the site, the production area is extended to 2000 m2, thus doubling it.
OPTOSOL Chemische Produkte GmbH was one of the very first companies to be MDR-certified.

We have been producing in Miesbach since 1984. Short delivery routes, direct communication, and full control over every production step.
Our filling systems operate under cleanroom conditions according to ISO 13485. Sterile filling is not just a requirement – it is our core competence.
Regional raw materials, digital e-instructions instead of paper inserts, and short transport routes – we produce responsibly.
